Meet Hannah

Originally founded as HM Design in 2017 by Hannah Withy, Double Black Design draws on Hannah’s Honours degree in Industrial Design from Massey University and a lifelong passion for cooking instilled from a young age by her Mum, a professional chef extrordinaire. Her early, grass roots, hands-on experience in kitchen design led her to formally training with the NKBA; she is now a fully qualified Kitchen Designer at the prestiegous NKBA Platinum Designer tier.
With 18 years of experience in the industry, and several design awards under her belt, Hannah applies international design experience to projects across New Zealand, delivering kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes, bespoke joinery and interior architecture solutions to a wide scope of projects.
Double Black Design focuses on thoughtful, practical layouts and refined detailing to create spaces that perform as well as they look.
